The experts from the Situations Modeling Agency do not rule out the possibility of creation of the Party of Regions - Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc coalition if Ivan Pliusch is nominated for the position of the Verkhovna Rada chairman, the agency said this in the report.
Situations Modeling Agency’s director Vitalii Bala, if they try to nominate Pliusch for the post of the Ukrainian speaker, the conflict inside the Our Ukraine People's Self-Defense Bloc faction will toughen showing the deputies’ distrust in the actions of President Viktor Yuschenko.
The expert said that the majority of the Our Ukraine People's Self-Defense Bloc deputies are not ready for the centralized style of decision making.
«The possible scandal due to this Yuschenko’s decision [nomination of Pliusch as the speaker without the alternate candidacy] may bury the party headed by the president,» Bala said.
This behavior of the president and taking of this decision inside of the party can make the Party of Regions and the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc unite.
He said that the Party of Regions is acknowledging the inability of the president to guarantee protection of its interests.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and one of the leaders of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc Mykola Tomenko said that the Presidential Secretariat and the Party of Regions are holding the talks on election of Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Our Ukraine People's Self-Defense Bloc faction Ivan Pliusch as the parliamentary speaker and Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych as the prime minister.
Chairman of the BYT faction Ivan Kyrylenko expects that the coalition will be created and the speaker will be elected at the parliament’s plenary meeting on December 4.
