Kyivpastrans municipal enterprise invited a tender for purchase of 50 tram cars, Kyivpastrans announced in a statement, a copy of which has been made available for Ukrainian News.
The company plans to buy 25 six-section cars with 52-56 meters long, and 25 five-section cars 29-32 meters long.
The cars are to be delivered in the period of January 2009 - June 2010.
The tender is scheduled for December 22.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in October Kyivpastrans purchased 10 three-section trams from the Kyiv plant of electric transport.
Kyivpastrans planned to buy 163 buses, 154 trolley-buses and five three-section trams in 2008.
