In October, imports of margarine fell by 5.8% or 323 tons, compared to September, to 5,205 tons.
This was reported in a statement of the State Statistics Committee, text of which Ukrainian News has obtained.
Expenditures for the import of margarine rose by 1.4% or USD 0.201 million to USD 14.120 million in October.
In October 2008, margarine imports fell by 10.2% or 593 tons compared to October 2007.
In January-October 2008, imports of margarine fell by 5.8% or 2,341 tons compared to January-October 2007, to 38,171 tons for USD 92.315 million.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in September, imports of margarine fell by 6.4% or 379 tons, compared to August, to 5,528 tons.
In 2007, imports of margarine rose by 37.3% or 13,299 tons compared to 2006, to 48,956 tons for USD 82.354 million.
