In October, Ukraine's direct external debt shrank by 1.4% or UAH 152.3 million to have totaled USD 10,481.1 million by October 31, the finance ministry's press release says.
The direct internal debt rose by 6.8% or UAH 1,121.4 million in October to have reached UAH 17,665.5 million (USD 3,066.7 million) by October 31.
As of October 31, the total amount of the direct government debt was UAH 78,040.7 million (USD 13,547.8 million). As of September 30, it was UAH 68,233.1 million (USD 14,036.8 million).
As of October 31, the total amount of the secured state debt was UAH 17,643.5 million (USD 3,062.9 million), including secured external debt of UAH 15,642.5 million (USD 2,715.5 million), and secured internal debt UAH 2,000.9 million (USD 347.4 million).
As of October 31, the total amount of the direct and secured state debt amounted to UAH 95,684.2 million (USD 16,610.7 million).
As Ukrainian News reported, in September Ukraine's direct external debt fell by 0.35% to USD 10,633.4 million, the direct internal debt fell by 2.75% to UAH 16,544.1 million.
In 2007, Ukraine's direct external debt grew by 8% from USD 9,803.2 million to USD 10,591.7 million, direct internal debt rose by 7.2% from UAH 16,607.7 million to UAH 17,806.4 million, the total amount of state debt climbed 7.8% or UAH 66,113.8 million to UAH 71,294.3 million.
