Tarasiuk made the accusation at a press conference.
"Russia is employing all its diplomatic capabilities to influence member-states of NATO not to make a decision to offer NATO Membership Action Plan to Ukraine," he said.
According to him, Russia is interested in refusal to invite Ukraine to join the NATO Membership Action Plan in December because it wants Ukraine to be in its sphere of influence.
"This is being done to prevent final admission of Ukraine into NATO because accession of Ukraine to NATO will amount to burying Russian politicians' dreams of bringing Ukraine into Russia's sphere of domination of Russia for good," he said.
Tarasiuk stressed that NATO could make a decision to accept Ukraine into the alliance only if all the branches of government in Ukraine adopted a common position on the issue of Ukrainian membership in NATO.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Tarasiuk has predicted that NATO member-states will refuse to invite Ukraine to join the NATO Membership Action Plan at a meeting of foreign ministers of NATO in December.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in October that the initiation of accession of Ukraine to NATO was aimed against Russia.
