On November 24-30, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to endorse the floor prices for the animal products for 2009, Agriculture Policy Minister Yurii Melnyk said this in the report.

«Next week, [the government] will endorse the minimum prices for the animal products for 2009,» he said.

The minister said that the floor prices will be fixed for the cattle, poultry and pigs and also for the sheep fur and three classes of milk.

Melnyk said that the fixation of the minimum prices for the animal products will be provided to calculate the subsidies for the sector.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on October 30, the Cabinet of Ministers intended to fix the floor prices for animal products for the period of 2009; however, it delayed the consideration of the issue.

In August, the Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the national program on development of the farm animal breeding until the end of 2014.
