Verkhovna Rada deputy Natalia Korolevska of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction, who also chairs the parliamentary committee for industrial and regulatory policy, favours the idea of clipping taxation of entrepreneurs to get over the economic crisis, the Rada administration's information department has informed Ukrainian News.
During a panel discussion of the financial-economic crisis and the state of the small and mid-scale business, arranged by the committee headed by Korolevska, the deputy stressed that it is necessary to implement a tax reform and to reform the regulatory sphere.
"Authorities have to turn with their face to entrepreneurs and put the stake on namely small and mid-scale business, as long as this is the most viable segment of the economy today," she said.
The parliamentarian thinks that in current situation entrepreneurs should lead the way and take part in the state's working out of anti-crisis measures.
In order to ensure uninterrupted finance in 2008 and to increase in 2009 finance of the budget programme of partial compensation of interest rates for loans given to small and mid-scale business entities for realization of investment projects, participants in the discussion suggested to allocate by UAH 250 million more of the national budget funds for its implementation.
The participants in the panel discussion share the opinion that is necessary to amend the law "On taxation of companies' incomes" in the part of concessionary taxation of a part of revenues earned for a reporting period; to pass bills on principles of the state policy in the area of licensing and "On the list of permissive documents in the field of economic operations."
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Viktor Yuschenko initiated on November 12 a nation-wide counsel for the issues of minimizing aftereffect of the financial crisis negative influence on the socioeconomic situation in Ukraine.
MP Anatolii Hrytsenko of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense bloc faction expects problems with payment of social welfare in January and February due to the economic crisis.
The law "On prior measures for averting negative consequences of the financial crisis and on amending some legal acts" took effect on November 5.
