The Kyiv Court of Appeal has confirms lawfulness of granting Ukrainian citizenship to Verkhovna Rada Deputy David Zhvania of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense bloc faction.
This follows from a statement made by the press service of the - People's Self-Defense public movement, referring to MP Hennadii Moskal of OU-PSD.
Therewith, the court disallowed for the Prosecutor-General’s Office appeal against the award of the Podil district court of Kyiv on Zhvania's citizenship and upheld the Podil district court order.
As Ukrainian News reported, on October 24, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv refused to oblige police withdraw and destroy Ukrainian passport of Zhvania.
On September 23, the Podil district court of Kyiv cancelled the criminal case that the Prosecutor-General's Office filed against Zhvania on suspicion of forging documents.
