Chairwoman of the State Property Fund Valentyna Semeniuk-Samsonenko has said that an expectation to receive UAH 750 million into the national budget from privatization next year is quite realistic.
She made this statement to the press.
If the next year's national budget will include the target for revenues from privatization commensurate with the 2008 national budget target, it will not be implemented because privatization of strategic enterprises has been blocked by President Viktor Yuschenko until the parliament adopts a program of development of corresponding strategic industries.
The SPF chairwoman said that privatization revenues of many billions will be possible only if to sell the biggest strategic enterprises such as the Odesa portside factory and Ukrtelecom.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the SPF transferred UAH 375.711 million into the state budget in the January-September period.
The parliament set the target for privatization revenues in 2008 at UAH 8.602 billion.
