On Tuesday, the interbank hryvnia rate rose by 20 kopecks to 5.0 UAH/USD, after a decrease on Monday.
According to dealers of commercial banks, at the beginning of the trading session the quotations fluctuated within 5.10-5.20 UAH/USD, then fell to 5.05-5.15 UAH/USD and narrowed to 5.05-5.10 UAH/USD by the end of the trades.
The National Bank of Ukraine was selling dollars at the rate of 5.0 UAH/USD.
Since the beginning of the year, the interbank hryvnia rate has increased by 0.99% from 5.05 UAH/USD.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the hryvnia rate on the interbank fell by 0.099% from 5.0450 to 5.0500 UAH/USD in 2007.
The hryvnia rate rose by 0.099% from 5.05 to 5.0450 UAH/USD in 2006.
