The Cabinet of Ministers has refused to allocate financing from the reserve fund of the national budget for the holding of the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
Interior Minister Yurii Lutsenko told this to the press after a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to Lutsenko, 15 members of the Cabinet of Ministers voted against the allocation of the financing from the reserve fund.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Viktor Yuschenko on October 13 obliged the Cabinet of Ministers to transfer money from the reserve fund of the national budget to the Central Election Commission by 17:00 on that day.
However, the Cabinet of Ministers did not convene for a meeting on October 13.
Earlier, First Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov said the Cabinet of Ministers would not allocate money from the reserve fund of the national budget for the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada set for December 7.
