The design solution projected an underground gas storage facility of 5.26 billion cubic meters, including 2.15 billion cubic meters of active volume.

The building of the underground gas storage facility started in 1973. It has been operating with parameters close to the designed parameters since 1987.

To date, the underground gas storage facility has been equipped to operate in full capacity, with 99 wells commissioned.
