Chairman of Vinnytsia regional state administration Oleksandr Dombrovskyi has made the decision to resign.
He said this at the meeting of the extended collegiate body of the regional state administration and regional council on October 14.
Dombrovskyi said that his decision is entailed by tensed relations with officials from the Presidential Secretariat.
"I see no sense to occupy this position in conditions of current situation and tensed relations with officials of the Presidential Secretariat. I do not want to break my principles," he said.
Dombrovskyi apologized to his subordinates for this decision and expressed his hope that the socioeconomic situation in the region won't worsen after his resignation.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on October 10, President Viktor Yuschenko reprimanded Dombrovskyi for violation of his decree No.117 "On business trips of heads of local state administrations within Ukrainian territory" of February 11.
Dombrovskyi, 46, has headed Vinnytsia regional state administration since February 4, 2005.
