President Viktor Yuschenko has liquidated the Kyiv District Administrative Court.
Ukrainian News learned this from presidential decree No.922/2008 of October 13.
Yuschenko resolved that the Central District Administrative Court of Kyiv (37 judges) and the Left-Bank District Administrative Court of Kyiv (22 judges) are established as of October 14.
The President also amended his decree No.1417 of November 16, 2004, entitled "On Establishing Local and Appellate Administrative Courts, Approval of their Network and Number of Judges on the Penal." The amendment stipulates that the powers of the Central District Administrative Court of Kyiv cover the Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchekivskyi districts.
The Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts fall under jurisdiction of the Left-Bank District Administrative Court.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on October 10, the Kyiv District Administrative Court suspended Yuschenko's decree No.911 on early termination of parliament powers.
Yuschenko called early elections for December 7.
