The Communist Party will hold its election congress on October 19.
Communist Party leader Petro Symonenko said this at a press conference.
«We will hold the congress. In compliance with the schedule of this elections campaign, it will take place on October 19,» he said.
At the same time, he said that the relevant decision was taken on October 12.
Symonenko said that current political situation does allow his party to hold discussions on creation of the bloc with other political forces.
He said that the Communist Party still strives for cooperation with other forces.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Viktor Yuschenko disbanded the Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation.
He set the early parliamentary elections for December 7.
