The Socialist Party intends to take part in the early Verkhovna Rada elections.

Party leader Oleksandr Moroz said this in the report.

According to the report, the leader of the Socialist Party considers that the forthcoming snap elections are another step of the current authorities to collapse of the state system.

He criticizes the authorities for high indicators of inflation and fall of the level of people’s life and the Socialist Party intends to prevent this in the future.

Moroz says that the socialists will continue propaganda of completion of the political reform to transfer the power to local authorities.

«We say that NATO is not a friend and Russia is not an enemy... the country should develop in accordance with deliberate program of political and social transformations, but not on the basis of «breakthrough» [Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc’s slogan for the previous parliamentary elections] and precepts. Then every person will see his perspective and respect his native land,» the report reads.

The leader of the Socialist Party says that his political force had learnt examples of the previous election campaign, resuming the party structure and intends to continue rotation of the party activists in compliance with results of the 2008 elections.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Socialist Party intends to receive 12-15% of voters at the forthcoming snap parliamentary elections in case Leftwing Bloc is created with the Communist Party.

The election campaign was launched on October 11, but on the same day it was suspended with the award of the Kyiv district administrative court, which also suspends the decree on disband of the parliament.

President Viktor Yuschenko disbanded the Verkhovna Rada and set the early parliamentary elections for December 7.
