At 13:00 on October 17, the Ukrainian News PRESS CENTER hosted a PRESS CONFERENCE illuminating activity of the Prison Portal Internet-site.
The press conference will tell on the newly created Prison Portal website, reliability of the information it spreads, and the plans.
The press conference was be addressed by Oleksandr Bukalov, head of the Donetsk Memorial human rights organization.

The Prison Portal Internet-site was created by the Donetsk Memorial human rights organization, supported by the Renaissance foundation, with the aim of providing the site visitors with a vivid and full picture of criminal and executive systems of Ukraine, and their cooperation with human rights organizations.
The site materials help answer the following questions:
- How many prisoners are there in Ukraine?
- How many prisoners are released each year?
- Where one can appeal in case he is imprisoned?
- Were a former prisoner can find support?
- How one can appeal international human rights organizations?
