The Party of Regions will convene the 12th congress on October 24.
This is stated in a press-release circulated by the party's press-service.
"The Party of Regions has decided to hold the 12th congress on October 24", the press-release reports.
The party's political council reached this decision on October 10.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Party of Regions held the 11th congress on April 19.
On October 10, the party's political council appointed Viktor Yanukovych, the Party of Regions leader, to head the party's election campaign at the snap parliamentary elections.
President Viktor Yuschenko called the snap parliamentary elections for December 7.
