The Executive Committee of the Vinnytsia city council inaugurated October 10 the Center for Administrative Services "Transparent Office".

Placed on the first floor of the city administration, Volodymyr Groisman, Vinnytsia's Mayor, announced this to reporters.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kostiantyn Vaschenko, head of the State Committee for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship, and Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, head of the Vinnytsia regional state administration.

The Center comprises all city administrative services provided for city-dwellers, the United Licence Issue Office, and the Municipal Technical Inventory Bureau.

There are also rooms for reception of citizens by city officials, and information terminals about activity of city authorities or the Center for Administrative Services.

The Center is equipped with the electronic queue management system, i.e. each city-dweller who is applying to the Transparent Office can find the service he/she needs by touching a monitor screen, and then gets a coupon with a number of his/her queue and a work place of a service provider.

The information about the number of the queue being served is displayed on the information board in the hall, Groisman said.

The center is also equipped with public telephones, a bank office, and a Wi-Fi wireless communication system for the city-dwellers to use free Internet.

The Center occupies the area of about 500 square meters and costs around UAH 1 million, 0.4 million of which were directed from the city budget, the rest are non-budget funds, Groisman said.

As Ukrainian News reported, the Vinnytsia city administration was awarded in June 2007 a certificate of complying with the quality management system of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

About 0.4 million people live in Vinnytsia.
