Kyiv's district administrative court has suspended President Viktor Yuschenko's decree No 911 on terminating the Verkhovna Rada's powers.
Ukrainian News learned this from Volodymyr Pylypenko, a Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction who is representing the BYuT at the court.
"The court has ruled to suspend president's decree No 911", he said.
The BYuT appealed against the mentioned decree at the court October 10 soon after its official publication, Pylypenko mentioned.
The court upheld the appeal later that day and suspended the decree, he added.
The court ordered Yuschenko to publish information about revoking his decree in official issues, and banned the Central Election Commission to take any measures for organizing and holding the snap parliamentary elections.
According to Pylypenko, the court will examine the case on October 24.
Thus, he pointed out, the election campaign has not started on Saturday due to the court decision.
As Ukrainian News reported, the President's Secretariat claims that Volodymyr Keleberda, judge of Kyiv's District Administrative Court, has no power to consider the BYuT appeal against president's decree No 911 on terminating Rada's powers as Yuschenko cancelled his appointment as judge of the Kyiv District Administrative Court.
The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction appealed against the president's decree on terminating the Verkhovna Rada's powers and calling the snap parliament elections at Kyiv's District Administrative Court.
