Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has no intention to resign.
She has announced this in the mass media relations department of the Cabinet of Ministers' Secretariat.
"I flatly cast back the rumour the Presidential Secretariat spreads about my possible resignation from the prime minister post," Tymoshenko said.
The premier stressed that there will be no TV speech on this issue.
"The Secretariat head and his team can switch their TV sets off and relax," Tymoshenko added.
The premier marked, in the situation when there is almost no parliament and the world suffers form the economic crisis, the government remains the only body to protect the national interests and guarantee stability.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ivan Kyrylenko, leader of the parliamentary faction of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, is against resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
During its 9 October meeting, the BYT was going to consider the recommendation that the prime minister resign, and a possible challenging of the presidential decree disbanding the Rada and calling early polls but then postponed these issues until 10 October because of Tymoshenko's illness.
