The Cabinet of Ministers predicts that in 2009, oil and gas condensate production will remain at the level of 3.9 million tons, compared to 2008.

This is disclosed in the appendix to the bill "On the state program on economic and social development for 2009," which was registered by the Verkhovna Rada on September 17.

In 2007, the oil and gas condensate production was 4,427,700 tons.

Thus, the government predicts that in 2008, the oil and gas condensate production will slide by 11.9% or 0.53 million tons to 3.9 million tons.

The Cabinet of Ministers expects that consumption of the oil and gas condensate will rise by 25% of 3 million tons, compared to expectations of 2008 to 15 million tons.

In this case, the oil imports in 2009 will make up 11.1 million tons, the government expects.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2007, the oil and gas condensate production fell by 1.9%, compared to 2006 to 4,427,700 tons.

In 2006, oil and gas condensate production rose by 3.6%, compared to 2005 to 4,515,400 tons.
