Ruslan Kniazevych, a Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc faction, thinks the Parliament has lost its power after official publication of the president's decree on its dissolution.
He announced this to reporters.
"The Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation has terminated its authorities since October 10, the day when the president's decree on dissolving the Verkhovna Rada was published", he said.
The lawmaker stressed the Parliament had been unable to take collective decisions and vote any bills since Friday.
The issue on funding the snap parliamentary elections must be discussed at the level of the president.
He has to issue a decree to order the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate required funds for the elections, Kniazevych said.
He noted under the Law on Elections the Cabinet of Ministers was obliged to provide adequate funding of elections.
According to Kniazevych, Yuschenko's decree on calling the snap parliamentary elections is possible to be amended.
As Ukrainian News reported, Borys Tarasiuk, a Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc, leader of the People's Rukh of Ukraine Party, anticipates postponing the date of the snap parliamentary elections.
He thinks it is impossible to hold early parliamentary elections before providing their funding and forming an electorate registrar.
Oleksandr Yefremov, a Verkhovna Rada deputy, deputy head of the Party of Regions faction, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Rules of Procedure, considers the Parliament of the sixth convocation to be in power until the early elections are held and deputies of a new parliament swear in.
Yuschenko dissolved the Parliament on October 8 and called early parliamentary elections for December 7.
The President's decrees on dissolving the Rada and calling the snap parliamentary elections came into force on October 10.
