Ivan Kyrylenko, leader of the parliamentary faction of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, is against resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
He said this in a TV Channel 5 interview.
«This resignation will be an absolutely irresponsible move - cheap and populist,» he emphasized.
On top Kyrylenko noted that if on October 10, a coalition of factions of the Our Ukraine - People’s Self-Defense bloc, the Party of Regions and the Volodymyr Lytvyn Bloc that is actually functioning, is officially registered in parliament, the Cabinet of Ministers will immediately tender resignation.
«As soon as a new coalition is announced on Friday, for which we are hoping, the government will immediately tender resignation,» he emphasized.
According to Kyrylenko, in case of non-creation of a coalition on October 10, the government will work until creation of a new coalition and a new government.
«The government will responsibly work until the last day when a new government is formed,» he said.
Kyrylenko emphasized that the faction meeting scheduled for October 9 was put off because Tymoshenko is heavily ill with flu.
As Ukrainian News reported, during its October 10 meeting, the BYT is going to consider the recommendation that the prime minister resign, and a possible challenging of the presidential decree disbanding the Rada and calling early polls.
On October 8, President Viktor Yuschenko early suspended the Rada’s authorities, and scheduled a snap election for December 7.
