The National Bank has retained its overnight interest rate for Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at 15.0% per annum for loans secured by the state bonds, the National Bank has informed.

The NBU has retained its overnight interest rate at 16.0% per annum for loans without collateral.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the National Bank had retained its overnight interest rate for Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 15.0% per annum for loans secured by the state bonds and at 16% per annum for loans without collateral.

The central bank is ready to give one-day credits at this rate.
