The Poltava concrete product plant brought into operation October 3 the Poltavabeton plant with the capacity of 65 cubic meters/hour.
The plant is located at 37, Kovpak Street in Poltava.
Ukrainian News learned this from a plant's spokesman.
Poltavabeton is a subsidiary of the Poltava concrete product plant, he said.
Due to low-cost concrete produced at Poltavabeton construction of a nine-storey building will be UAH 4 million lower.
"One cubic meter of concrete costs UAH 400 - UAH 600, or UAH 100 - UAH 150 cheaper than the existing prices", the spokesman said.
The equipment worth Euro 2 million was installed according to the German TEKA technology, he pointed out.
The new plant will help reduce prime cost of housing in Poltava, Oleksandr Kozub, secretary of the Poltava city council, specified.
"There is no similar plant in the region, while in the whole Ukraine there are only few", he noted.
The concrete is being supplied to construction sites of the city and Karlivskyi and Myrhorodskyi districts of the region.
All equipment is operated by a controller who checks the central computer connected with the German producer, the spokesman said.
"If any default or error occurs German experts will give the required help", the spokesman said.
The demand for concrete by Poltava building companies totals 40,000 cubic per year.
The Poltava concrete product plant closed joint stock company belongs to the Poltavabudinvest investment company (Poltava).
As Ukrainian News reported, the EuroClass building company, a part of the AntoRus concern (both based in Kherson), launched a new plant ELBA-Concrete for concrete production in Kherson in mid-September.
About 308,000 people live in Poltava.
