The parliamentary faction of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc has prepared all the documents that are necessary to legalize formation of a coalition with the parliamentary faction of the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc (OU-PSD).
Parliamentary Deputy Ivan Kyrylenko, who is the leader of the parliamentary faction of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, announced this at a press briefing.
"We have all the documents ready, we are waiting for a mirror response from our partners," Kyrylenko said.
In particular, Kyrylenko stressed that a decision to form a coalition with the OU-PSD was unanimously approved at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc and that 155 signatures have been collected in support of formation of such a coalition.
Moreover, according to Kyrylenko, the faction has approved a draft statement on the situation in the Caucasus that is in line with similar statements issued by the European Union and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Kyrylenko also said that the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc has drafted a statement on formation of a coalition between it and the OU-PSD, a draft agreement on formation of such a coalition, and 155 personal statements by the faction's deputies regarding their intention to join such a coalition.
Kyrylenko stressed that the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc saw no alternative to forming a coalition with the OU-PSD.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the parliamentary faction of the OU-PSD has said that it is waiting for an invitation from the parliamentary faction of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc to continue negotiations on formation of a coalition.
The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc collected the signatures of the 155 members of its parliamentary faction on October 6 in support of formation of a coalition with the parliamentary faction of the OU-PSD.
The Forward Ukraine! party, the Narodnyi Rukh of Ukraine party, the Christian Democratic Union party, the European Party, and the Party of Defenders of the Fatherland, which are all members of the OU-PSD, called on the OU-PSD's leadership on October 3 to accelerate the negotiations on formation of a new coalition.
