The General Prosecutor's office will halt further destabilization in operation of the Prominvestbank, one of Ukraine's largest banks.
This is stated in a press-release circulated by the General Prosecutor's office.
"General Prosecutor Oleksandr Medvedko has instructed to check adherence to the Law On Banks and Banking Activity to prevent attempts of throwing the bank into bankruptcy and acquiring its assets", the press-release reports.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, certain raid structures are trying to destabilize the bank's operation that may have a negative impact on the whole banking system.
"Certain raid structures have lately tried to undermine financial stability of the Prominvestbank closed joint-stock company that may negatively affect the country's financial and banking system", the press-release says.
The Prominvestbank has repeatedly claimed about raid attacks to force its current owners sell the bank.
As Ukrainian News reported, the National Bank of Ukraine directed UAH 5 billion to bolster bank's liquidity.
