While clarifying the reasons why MP David Zhvania of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc faction was denied participation in meeting of the faction with President Viktor Yuschenko, the presidential secretariat referred to the tactless rhetoric about the President that was voiced by the parliamentary deputy, the presidential press service reported.
The secretariat noted that Zhvania was not invited to the meeting of the OU-PSD faction with Yuschenko.
"Zhvania knows that he has not been invited to the President's secretariat for past months, when he chose the role of the main anti-President mudslinger joining certain Ukrainian politicians. The President is convinced there is no place for politicians of that kind in a civilized political dialogue," the secretariat's press release reads.
The secretariat noted that Yuschenko reserves to himself the privilege to choose a person and a place for meeting without any assistance.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, MP David Zhvania said he was denied coming into a hall where President Viktor Yuschenko was scheduled to meet with the OU-PSD faction.
Zhvania is convinced that the Presidential Secretariat's head Viktor Baloha initiated removal of the People's Self-Defense deputy group of the faction from the negotiations.
