Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Matsuo Mabuchi has given over equipment to the newborns' department of Zhytomyr Regional Child Hospital.

Those are a device for artificial ventilation of lungs, an air compressor, a graphical display, an infusion syringe pump, and nonexpendable sensors for pulsator.

A multifunctional ion meter and a new minibus have been also delivered to the Healthy Environment medical ecology center.

The event took place within the framework of the Kusanone program. The Government of Japan provided financial aid to a total of USD 117,000.

"By the moment, Japan has implemented 35 projects under the Kusanone human safety program, including 20 projects in the field of health protection," the ambassador told the press.

Starting on 2002, Ukraine has carried out 34 projects under the Kusanone program, worth a total of USD 1.5 million.
