Agrarian market is a significant aspect of Ukrainian economy, which in the future will help our country to take the influential position on international market. But this is possible only with the development of agrarian business.
Specialists are sure that agricultural infrastructure of Ukraine needs major changes and reorganizations. The thing is not only in the need of modern equipment, but also in the acknowledgement that agrarian business and agriculture as a social factor are different matters, although they are linked. A present situation with grain crop showed that it is not enough only to grow a record-breaking harvest, but it is important to sell it well. This is the difference between agriculture and agrarian business, the eventual result of which - is getting a profit.
"If we are talking about ambitious plans of the increase in production and gaining influential position on the international market, it is needed to improve grain infrastructure. This includes not only dryers, granaries and agricultural elevators, but also the solution of port matters. Today sea-ports for us are like a narrow beak of the bottle: although they are filled, their carrier capacity is only 12 million tones of corn a year. This year, for example, Ukrainian grain harvest was more than 48 million tones, half of which is nowhere to store," says Vitaliy Skotsyk - the general director of the group of companies AMACO in Ukraine.
Vitaliy Skotsyk, appealing to long-term experience of work in agriculture, noticed that in order to start the profitable agrarian business, farmer needs to invest about 1300 dollars per hectare. Most of these investments are fees in fixed assets for the first year of operation. But these assets will be getting back gradually not only by amortization, but also, first of all, by the high efficiency of the production. One of the most important problems for investors remains the absence of the certain market of sale in the country, which could be stock-raising and processing industry.
"The domestic demand by stock-raising and processing industry certainly will be the mover which can attract more investors to such projects because the main problem for today is not to grow a crop, but to sell it. If there will be a certain market of sale, people, who invest, will invest more. It is possible to get more incomes on the Ukrainian agrarian market than on real estate market," considers the general director of the group of companies AMACO in Ukraine.
