According to Ukrainian Government plans, this year the 22,5 million tons of grain will export. However, the carrying capacity of present „corn corridor" allows to take out outside a country only 14 millions tone for a year.
As the result, surplus of grain in the country and huge supply will caused to reduction of prices on grain at home market. Therefore, basic problem of agrarian sector of Ukraine for today is absence of powers for storage harvest and their transporting for a border.
"This year Ukraine took the record harvest of grain. But however, powers are not enough inside the country, to save grain until there will be the best price on world markets. Domestic agrarians try to sell it as quick as possible, because they haven’t places to storage it. To increase an export possibility in the future, it’s necessary to build an additional powers for drying and storage of grain in Ukraine, new motor-car and railway roads, ports, and others, but it’s not the only problem.
The agricultural sector of Ukraine needs global approach, we must increase modern technologies of growing cultures, develop parallel directions activity (for example, stock-raising or processing and crop production), increase technologies of making bio fuel", - marked Vitaly Skotsyk, the director-general of AMACO Company in Ukraine.
Today agriculture occupies a ponderable share in the structure of Ukrainian gross domestic product, but it still has huge potential. In fact it’s not only a production but also processing of agricultural products. However, agriculture needs investments for development of agrarian infrastructure.
