Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stands for territorial integrity of Georgia.
She announced this at a press conference.
"Being the leader of the political force and the prime minister, I take the position of territorial integrity of Georgia," she said.
The prime minister added that she supports the plan of peaceful settlement of the armed conflict between Russia and Georgia developed together with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on the night of August 7-8, Georgian troops held mass attack on the capital of South Ossetia, Tskhinvali, because, as the Georgian Foreign Affairs Ministry reported, separatists from South Ossetia launched several attacks on peaceful population and peacekeeping troops in a few villages outside of Tskhinvali.
South Ossetia asked Russia for help. Russia brought its troops to South Ossetia and started armed confrontation with the Georgian troops.
