Ukrainian Ministry of Public Health reported absence of danger of breakout of infection diseases in the six regions hit by floods.

Acting first minister of public health / chief medical officer Anatolii Ponomarenko has announced this at a press conference.
In his words, 330 people have been hospitalized with infection diseases but all the cases are not connected with each other and bring no danger of epidemics.
A. Ponomarenko considers chemical and bacterial contamination of water and environment as reasons of the illnesses.
Besides, A. Ponomarenko said that the danger of epidemics breakout though exists, as long as incubation period of some maladies is not over yet.
Deputy minister of public health Volodymyr Yurchenko marked that 17% of water in the centralized water supply system is contaminated and 23% of water in wells and springs affected by bacteriological pollution and 16% by chemical pollution.
Also V. Yurchenko said that drinking water is delivered to all the suffered regions in tanks and bottles.
As Ukrainian News reported, on August 5, the Health Ministry warned about spreading of infection diseases in the six flood-affected regions of Ukraine and the areas located along Dniester.
