As Ukrainian News earlier reported, 126 Ukrainian athletes will participate in the Paralympic Games, which will take place in Beijing from September 6 to 17.
Ukrainian Paralympic athletes will participate in 11 events.
President Viktor Yuschenko recently increased the stipends of Ukrainian Olympic, Deaflympic, and Paralympic athletes from UAH 1,600 to UAH 2,500 for winners of gold medals, from UAH 1,300 to UAH 2,000 for winners of silver medals, and from UAH 1,000 to UAH 1,500 for winners of bronze medals.
