The Zaporizhia city council is intending to build a highway across the Dnipro River in Zaporizhia by 2010.
The construction started in October 2004.
In addition to DniproGES, three bridges secure the traffic across the Dnipro River in Zaporizhia. The bridges connect Hortytsia Island with Ordzhonikidzivskyi district, Khortyskyi district, the right-bank part of Leninskyi district of the city.
Zaporizhia is home for 800,000 people.
