A total of 300 people have been evacuated as a result of 863 houses flooded in Ivano-Frankivsk region on July 23-25.
Emergency Situations and Protection of Population from the Chornobyl Accident Consequences Ministry said.
A total of 43 settlements were cut off electricity and 96 settlements were left without telephone communication.
Strong rains entailed sudden rise of water level in the mountain rivers of Prut and Dniester on the territory of Bohorodchany, Verkhovyna, Dolyna, Kosiv, Kolomya, Nadvirna, Sniatyn, Rozhniativ, Tlumach districts and city of Yaremcha.
Apart of the houses, a total of 980 facilities, 34.8 hectares of farm lands were flooded and 7.920 kilometers of banks were washed out.
Besides, 29 kilometers of local roads were washed out and flooded, 24 car and 30 foot bridges were damaged.
To provide repair works, a total of 145 people and 59 machines were attracted.
