Russia's State Duma MP Konstantin Zatulin cannot visit Ukraine within one year, as the Security Service of Ukraine has issued corresponding instructions to the State Border Service.
A representative of the press service of the Ukrainian State Border Service told this to the press.
"As the State Border Service had instructions from the Security Service of Ukraine not to allow Russian citizen [Zatulin] in Ukraine, he was denied entry. A note has been stamped in his foreign passport about a one-year ban on entry to Ukraine," he said.
According to the representative of the press service, at about 21:00 on July 24 Zatulin arrived in Simferopol airport by a charter flight. He spent the night at the airport and was due to fly to Russia in the morning. However, he refused to leave and said he was settling a question of one-time entry to Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, State Duma Deputy Konstantin Zatulin accused the Verkhovna Rada's deputy group for inter-parliament relations with Russia of disrupting signing of a declaration advocating prolongation of the effect of the Russian-Ukrainian Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership.
Zatulin also accused the Rada's deputy group of disrupting signing of a petition to eliminate personae non-grata lists.
The Security Service of Ukraine officially cautioned Zatulin against statements, which are deemed by the SBU, as anti-Ukrainian ones.
