In the early hours of July 25 bad weather - heavy rain with strong wind of up to 20 meters/second - cut electricity supplies to 177 population centers in seven regions.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the Emergency Situations Ministry.
In particular, the bad weather triggered automatic safety mechanisms in the power grid, leaving without electricity 70 towns and villages in Lviv region, 60 towns and villages in Chernivtsi region, 15 towns and villages in Ternopil region, 13 in Khmelnytskyi region, 12 in Odesa region, 4 in Mykolaiv region, and 3 in Volyn region.
Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies are working to restore electricity supplies in the regions.
