President Viktor Yuschenko insists on boosting talks with Russian on withdrawal of its Black Sea fleer from Crimea by 2017.
He disclosed this at a press conference.
"I think that the agenda of the two countries should include the issue on prospects of Black Sea fleet withdrawal from Ukrainian territory," he said.
The president said that in compliance with the Constitution, Ukraine does not deploy military bases of foreign states and this provision must be observed.
Yuschenko said that the agreement on deployment of the Russian fleet was signed in 1997 for only twenty years, and this agreement should be considered as a goodwill gesture of Ukraine.
"I am sure we have to do this deliberately, doing it deliberately does not met earlier," he said asked about the time expedient for submission to the Verkhovna Rada the bill on withdrawal of Russian Black Sea fleet from Crimea.
The president said that the deployment of the Russian fleet is not the matter of one day and requires long-term preparation.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, earlier, Foreign Affairs Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko said that the bill on withdrawal of the fleet from Crimea had already been drafted.
Russia considers that deployment of its Black Sea fleet in Sevastopol delivers security and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Ukraine sees no opportunity to leave Russian fleet in Crimea after May 28, 2017.
On June 18, Russia's permanent representative in NATO Dmitriy Rogozin said that Russia does not intend to withdraw its Black Sea fleet from Crimea.
On May 20, President Viktor Yuschenko urged the Cabinet of Ministers to draft by July 20 the bill on cancellation of force of international agreements on temporary deployment of Russian Black Sea fleet on the territory of Ukraine from 2017.
