MP Zhvania Comes To Prosecutor General's Office For Interview On Yuschenko's Poisoning Case (10:41, Wednesday, July 23, 2008)

Verkhovna Rada Deputy David Zhvania of the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Bloc faction has come to the investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office for an interview on poisoning of then presidential candidate Viktor Yuschenko in 2004.

The interrogation was to start at 10:00.

Zhvania reiterated he put into question the version that Viktor Yuschenko was poisoned deliberately. He said it was just a food poisoning.

Zhvania said he was intending to press for a meeting on Wednesday with the head of the investigation team on the case, Halyna Klymovych.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Viktor Yuschenko on Tuesday came for an interview about his poisoning in 2004 to the Prosecutor General's Office.

The Prosecutor General's Office said it was a fact that then presidential candidate Viktor Yuschenko was poisoned in 2004.

On June 4, MP Zhvania said in an interview with the BBC that bad food poisoned Yuschenko.

On May 30, Zhvania said Yuschenko had not been poisoned.
