Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi has issued an instruction to finish the installation of the new Archangel Michael's Pedestal on the Liadski Gates in Independence Square by November 21.

He announced this during the presentation of frescos at the Saint Michael's Golden Dome Cathedral. The frescos have been returned from the Saint Petersburg Hermitage.
Chernovetskyi believes that a copy of Archangel Michael, which is displayed in the Museum of Saint Michael's Golden Dome Cathedral History and which used to be a decoration of the cathedral some time ago, should be erected in Independence Square.
