Members of the party's political council made this decision on Saturday.

When speaking to the conference delegates, I. Kril manifested about his readiness to hold this post and to make his contribution in development of the party and of Ukraine.

"I will do everything to look in your face with clear conscience," he said.

I. Kril is sure that there are a lot of people among the representatives of United Centre who deserve to govern the parliament, who is ready to work for the uniting of Ukraine.

"We are the team, which will unite Eastern and Western Ukraine," he said.

At the same time he emphasized that there is no and will never be leaderism in the party

I. Kril told reporters that the political council did not consider other candidacies of the party leader and unanimously elected him.

He was hard to say how much money the party spent on its congress, held in the 'Ukraine" palace.

"I'm politician, not bookkeeper," he said.

Although, the deputy assured journalists that the party will make public all its financial document, including those on the congress.

He also said that United Centre paid for live broadcasting of the congress at the First National TV Channel.

As Ukrainian News reported, in May, United Centre elected Ihor Kril to the post of chairperson instead of Shybiko.

In March 27, United Centre held the founding meeting in Kyiv.

On July 8, Presidential Secretariat's Chief Baloha entered the United Centre party.

He stated that United Centre deliberately shares President Yuschenko's program of actions and will assist the President in its realization.
