Head of the State Affairs Department Ihor Tarasiuk has denied Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's accusation of his involvement in increase of poultry prices.
He announced this in an interview to the Ukrainskyi Tyzhden magazine.
He also said that currently, he does not own stocks in any enterprise.
"Currently, being a state official I do not own stocks in any commercial enterprise," he said.
Tarasiuk also said that there is no monopoly on the poultry market.
"There are two large companies on the market: Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt and Havrylivski Kurchata, but at the same time, there are also many small companies. In this, there is no monopoly abuse and the prices are regulated by the market," he said.
Moreover, Tarasiuk expressed his confidence saying that Ukrainian farm producers are ready to work within the World Trade Organization and can become powerful rivals for foreign companies.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on July 9, Tymoshenko accused Tarasiuk of involvement in increase of poultry prices.
