The World Bank has worsened the Ukrainian inflation forecast for 2008 (December on December) from 17.2% to 21.5%.
Ruslan Piontkovskyi, an economist of the World Bank in Ukraine, announced this to the press.
He said the World Bank also improved the Ukrainian real GDP growth forecast for 2008 from 5.5% to 6%.
According to the World Bank, the locomotive of the Ukrainian GDP growth in the third quarter will be the farm sector.
In the opinion of the World Bank, Ukraine in the first half of 2008 showed factors that the economy was rather overheated.
