Ukraine has evacuated 81 Ukrainian citizens from the Gaza Strip.
Foreign Affairs Ministry press service announced this in a statement.
On July 2, after termination of disorders by Palestine, Egyptian secrete services assisted 81 Ukrainians, 31 women and 50 men, in crossing of Palestinian border checkpoint, which is controlled by Hamas grouping.
They were brought to the neutral territory to Egyptian border by buses, where they were met by Ukrainian diplomats.
The evacuated people received necessary consular aid, in particular, received Egyptian visas, were provided with vehicles, air tickets and were put up at hotels.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in June 2007, Ukraine evacuated 91 citizens from the Gaza Strip.
