The European Union favors the idea of making long-term plans for relations with Ukraine.
French Ambassador Jean-Paul Veziant said this in his interview with the Day newspaper.
"The EU is seeking the possibility of planning relations with Ukraine for a long-run," he said.
According to Veziant, the EU expects Ukraine to boldly tackle reforms it undertook to pursue, the judicial reform in particular.
The EU calls on Ukraine to ensure political stability in the country, a harmonized work of the branches of power, with the Verkhovna Rada working normally in the committees and endorsing the necessary laws.
These steps in Ukraine, Veziant continued, will guarantee its success on the way to European integration.
The ambassador noted that both Ukraine and the EU are expecting a successful conduct of the summit in France next September.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the European Union expects Ukraine to gain finally political stability.
European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner stands for enhancing the new agreement between Ukraine and the European Union to bring Ukraine closer to the union.
