Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk has announced to reporters that the revenue side of the 2008 state budget's general fund was overfulfilled in January-June.
In his words, for the first half of the year the revenue side of the general fund was overfulfilled by UAH 8.3 billion and made near UAH 83 billion.
V. Pynzenyk did not call the exact sum of the general fund revenues for the first half-year.
The finance minister told that information about the state budget's special fund revenues would become known late in July.
V. Pynzenyk added, general fund expenses were financed at 100.2%, which makes up 48% of the annual amount of expenses.
Also the finance minister said that the Cabinet of Ministers would not give up placement of Eurobonds though he did not say when this might happen.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on June 18 Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk predicted that the national budget would be executed with surplus in January-June.
Pynzenyk believes a national budget with revenues higher than spending is a compulsory condition for stable national currency, the hryvnia.
The revenues of the general fund of the 2008 national budget were estimated at UAH 71.043 billion in January-May or 111% of the plan for the period.
The state budget for 2008 foresees revenues of the general fund totaling UAH 168,965,709,300, expenditures UAH 186,738,567,200, and deficit UAH 17,922,651,900.
