Cabinet Preliminarily Approves Amendments In 2008 State Budget (19:23, Friday, June 27, 2008)

The Cabinet of Minister at its session on Friday preliminarily approved amendments in the state budget for 2008.

Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk has announced this to reporters.

"Took as basis," he said.

V. Pynzenyk did not call any of the revised national budget parameters.

After the government session Roman Zhukovskyi, head of the Presidential Secretariat's main service of socio-economic development, told Ukrainian News that the Cabinet also affirmed revised macroeconomic indicators for 2008, worsening inflation outlook to 15.3% from 9.6%.

He added, further consultations on amendments in the 2008 state budget with President Viktor Yuschenko are scheduled for July 2.

After these consultations the Cabinet is expected to finally approve draft amendments in the state budget.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko hopes that the Cabinet will finally approve amendments in the 2008 state budget before July 7.

Previously Tymoshenko hoped that amendments in the 2008 state budget will be finally coordinated with President Viktor Yuschenko on June 27.
