Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko hopes that the Cabinet of Ministers will approve the law on making amendments in the state budget for 2008 by July 7.
She announced this when opening the Cabinet session.
In her words, at the meeting on Friday the Cabinet may take as basis the draft law on 2008 budget amendments, which will make it possible to hold consultations with the president, with the coalition, and with Verkhovna Rada committees.
"I think that our meting of today will be the first step in the government getting ready to make amendments in the budget next week, go through committees, and try to pass the amended budget before the parliament leaves for vacation," Yu. Tymoshenko said.
The premier added, the Cabinet on Friday was to consider ministers' propositions as to balancing budget expenses.
As Ukrainian News reported, earlier Premier Tymoshenko hoped that amendments into the 2008 state budget would finally be coordinated with President Viktor Yuschenko on June 27.
She then said that relevant bill of the Cabinet of Ministers had already been drafted, but is not considered in accordance with presidential request.
